This Is How We Do It: A Sneak Peek at Our L.A. Design Studio

From concept to pattern to fitting to your shopping bag, a lot of work and love (awww…) goes into the clothes we create. And it all starts at our private design studio in Los Angeles. In a sun-filled space on the second floor packed with rack after rack of clothing samples, our new creative director, Nathan Jenden, is putting the finishing touches on a fresh bebe collection set to debut in January 2018.

You may have heard of Nathan before. He’s worked with several high-profile brands and celebs in the past, and his own label earned rave reviews from Women’s Wear Daily and Madonna. We’re beyond thrilled that he’s now at bebe and can’t wait for you to see his new designs. For now, turn up your volume on our vid to hear Nathan’s thoughts on bebe and where the brand is headed next.

Get That Street Style: 4 Outfits Inspired by the Cities of Fashion Week

Let’s be honest: we don’t all have the spare time and cash to globe-hop this fall’s fashion weeks. But that doesn’t mean we’re not obsessively watching the world’s style capitals for all the latest fashion trends. New York, London, Milan, Paris: each fashion week locale offers some serious outfit inspo. So while we were drooling over the spring 2018 trends currently flooding the interwebs, we threw together a few fall 2017 outfits for women who need their street style fix right now.

TOP // JEANS // JACKET // SHOES

Every year, the fashion week lineup starts in New York, the no-nonsense city that never sleeps. So a great day-to-night look is absolutely NYC inspired. A badass leather jacket paired with lace-up denim lets people know you’re not messing around. Complete the look with on-trend minimalist heels to elevate your entire outfit, literally and figuratively.

DRESS // HANDBAG // SHOES

London fashion week brings out Britain’s poshest socialites, so there we imagine ourselves all dressed up in lace while sipping some fabulous tea. This fit-and-flare dress paired with structured accessories captures the refined, orderly spirit of London without looking overly prim and proper. Keep chic and carry on.

JUMPSUIT // EARRINGS // HANDBAG // SHOES

The original fashion capital, Milan is where you need to shake things up a bit and make a statement. Embrace what’s trending in fashion with full-body denim and an embroidered crossbody, then balance it out with some sleek, timeless accessories. You’ll look totally bella and totally of the moment.

DRESS // EARRINGS // SHOES

Paris is where you can get really girly and romantic, but an abstract camo print keeps this look current and not as sugary as a macaron. Crystal statement earrings give it a little City-of-Lights glam so you can pretend you’re at a fashion show after-party popping champagne as “La Vie en Rose” plays in the background.

Red Is HOT: The It-Color of Fall 2017

Power dressing has always been our thing, and now it’s also a major trend, starting with lots of bold, bright, in-your-face red. From little red dresses to red tops and skirts, there are so many ways to add more than “just a pop” to your look. This season is all about red with no reservations, head to toe, and maybe even a red lip thrown in as well.

The easiest way to get this look: a red dress outfit finished with a couple well-chosen accessories. Think sleek platform heels and a chunky gold cuff or watch. Lucky for you (and us) bebe has a pretty stellar collection of red dresses, whether you need a red cocktail dress for girls’ night or a red day dress for weekend brunch.

A red long-sleeve blouse or red midi skirt also adds a punch of power red to your outfit. Red paired with black can feel a little cliché, but gray, beige and even pink make for fresh combos that color outside the lines. Gold and silver also look amazing with red. Think metallic jogger pants with a red top or a glittery tee with a red knee-length skirt.

However you go red this fall, you really can’t go wrong. Because styling red is no longer about offsetting its intensity. It’s about embracing it.
