Blogger Diary: Joy Adaeze’s Day 1 at New York Fashion Week
Forecasters are predicting some seriously cold weather to loom over New York City. Not that fashion blogger Joy Adaeze from Joy Loves Fashion is going to let that get in the way of taking over our blog and tackling the season’s most important week! We’re talking New York Fashion Week, of course! Follow STYLUST this week for an exclusive look into the life of a fashion blogger during NYFW 2013. We’re on the edge of our seats!

“I’ve been attending New York Fashion Week for 6 years (OMG! That’s 12 seasons!) and there is always something exciting to look forward to each time. New collections, old friends and amazing street style to obsess over. There’s truly nothing like it! When I first started attending NYFW, I was an intern, and as the years went by, I transitioned into assistant, blogger, stylist and now fashion writer. This will be my busiest season ever! I am covering fashion week for Huffington Post, Hello Beautiful, my style blog JoyLovesFashion.com as well as bringing you these daily style diaries (which I can already tell are going to be sooo much fun!) Here we go!”
“The first morning of NYFW is always hectic! I gather my invites, get dressed in a hurry and pick a fun turban to wear! I love turbans, I think they are so regal and chic. They’re definitely my signature.
During fashion week, the days are long and full of shows, events and writing, so I always try to grab breakfast to keep myself energized!”
“Day 1 look! I paired bright pops of color with neutral shades. This included: a mix of my favorite designers, a vintage coat and purse (acquired from my grandmother), my new fab bebe boots and a scarf tied into a turban! Ornate bangles provided the finishing touches.”
“After a show, I checked out the latest Daily Front Row, one of my fave mags! I’ve even had the honor of being featured in the past, twice! This month marks their 10th anniversary and the issue is packed with chic happenings 
They are the funniest mag!”
“Time to reapply! I am using a new all-natural lipstick from a collection that’s drink themed. So fun! This one’s called Femme Fatale.”
“One of the most fun aspects of fashion week is making new friends and running into old ones!”
“Then, I got interviewed by Julee Wilson, Style and Beauty Editor of Huffington Post Black Voices! We talked about my outfit inspiration and accessories. My fave piece of the day were def my bebe booties! So comfortable. Thanks, bebe ”
