Blogger du Jour: Nany’s Klozet
Who better to feature as our June Blogger du Jour than Miami girl Daniela Ramirez of Nany’s Klozet? This Florida fashionista knows a thing or two about dressing for summer weather, and we can’t get enough of her stunning color pairings and flirty outfit details. Plus, she always seems to have just the right accessories for every look. We’re taking notes!
Daniela was fabulous enough to answer some of our questions about how she started her blog, her personal style and what she’s loving this season.
Which Nany’s Klozet look is your fave?

STYLUST: Who and/or what inspired you to start Nany’s Klozet?
DANIELA: Well, Nany’s Klozet began a year after sharing my daily outfits on my first blog—which was completely in Spanish. I was so overwhelmed with the amazing response that I decided to start a bilingual blog. However, what really inspired me to start posting my outfits was showing people that it is possible to look amazing while being on a budget, and that it is okay to wear your clothes over and over by making them look like completely different outfits.
STYLUST: Who and/or what inspires your personal style?
DANIELA: Absolutely everything! I get inspiration from other bloggers, celebrities, runways, magazines, movies, TV, shoes…I really think inspiration is everywhere!

STYLUST: What clothing piece would you consider a must-have in every girl’s closet?
DANIELA: Just one? Wow, that’s hard! I’m going with a classic—a pair of black jeans. They are dressier than regular jeans but just as comfortable…and, yes, more versatile! You can wear them with a simple white tee, with a blazer and a blouse for the office and with a sexy top to go out.
STYLUST: What are some of your key summer items?
DANIELA: Living in Miami, they are more like year-round must-haves: jean shorts, a fedora, nude wedges, a bright bathing suit…and A LOT of sunscreen.

STYLUST: If you could live in any other decade, what would it be?
DANIELA: I’m going to say the ’80s just because it looks like it was so much fun. Everything was so tacky but fun. It was a time of women’s empowerment, and it showed in the clothing with the bright colors, shoulder pads and big, BIG hair.
STYLUST: What’s on your current playlist?
DANIELA: ’90s pop music, “We Are Young” by Fun and “Somebody That I Used to Know” (but I like the Glee version better).
STYLUST: Any words of advice for someone looking to start their own blog?
DANIELA: Be yourself, and have fun with it! Forget about whatever is holding you back, like “what people might think,” and just enjoy it because it’s an amazing experience. Oh, and be extremely active on all social network sites in order to connect with your readers!
