Bridal Spotlight: Invitation Inspiration & More from PAPYRUS
As we debuted our first bebe bridal collection across the country this spring, we teamed up with stationery and print experts from PAPYRUS to bring brides-to-be some gorgeous wedding ideas. From that snazzy save-the-date to charming thank-you notes, creating the perfect paper pieces for your special day can be intimidating—so we asked PAPYRUS for the tips below. Plus, take a peek at our vid featuring PAPYRUS at bebe Soho in New York City!
STYLUST: Do you have any tips for creating a fun and memorable save-the-date?
PAPYRUS: Save-the-dates have become a very popular method to ensure all your guests have plenty of time to plan for the occasion. Ranging from simple cards to embellished die-cut shapes, save-the-dates will set the tone for your special occasion. Be sure to make them personal. They’re not only an extension of your wedding invitation ensemble, but they’re an extension of you. Use a photo or incorporate something you both love to do.
STYLUST: What are some unique ways to personalize wedding invitations?
PAPYRUS: Similarly to your save-the-dates, design them with your personal interests in mind. With today’s printing technology, the options are almost endless. Anything from font styles, color options, printing and embossing methods to the type of paper you use can ensure your wedding ensemble is unique to you. Adding a motif or monogram is a great way to personalize invitations to suit your special event. You can hot glue embellishments like ribbon trim or crystal chatons after you receive your wedding invite ensemble for a special touch of elegance.
STYLUST: What are some ways to tie invitations, programs, etc., in with a wedding setting or theme?
PAPYRUS: Using a color palette that flows throughout your wedding is the most common method. Incorporating your bridal colors in your wedding invitation ensemble will ensure you’ve created fluidness in your theme. Couples can also create a monogram for their invitations that they then use on everything from napkins to wedding favors. These types of details will not go unnoticed by your guests.
STYLUST: Do you have any suggestions for creating meaningful thank-you cards?
PAPYRUS: Perhaps the most important part of your wedding invitation ensemble is the thank-you card. Ensure your guests know you received their gift, but also how grateful you are for their attendance at your special day. Printing digital photo cards after your wedding allows you to use a photo from the wedding or, perhaps, a special photo from your honeymoon as your custom thank-you card.
