Style Icon: Krysten Ritter
Around our LA studio we’re constantly drawing personal style inspiration from our fave celebs. This week? We’re totally crushing on Krysten Ritter! Not only does she know exactly how to rock a bodycon and a plunging neckline, but she works a spring-appropriate color pop into all her looks. We’ve pulled together some of our favorite Krysten fashion moments and tips on how to make them yours. Plus, we can’t wait to see what this former model serves up on her new show Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23 (premieres April 11).
SOMETHING BLACK, SOMETHING BLUE
WHY WE LOVE IT>> Blue never looked so good! Black is always chic, but with edgy cutouts, gold accents and a pop of electric blue, it serves up a glam punch we’re totally loving.
HOW TO ROCK IT>> Choose a color that works for you and work it! For day reach for a black jumpsuit that is both sophisticated and effortlessly chic. For night try edgy cutouts and a bodycon silhouette and work in a studded clutch or geometric bangles.
OUR PICKS>> Contrast Neckline Jumpsuit (193050, $109), Cassandra Embellished Bootie Sandal (180762, $169), Tank Fringe Dress (196196, $69), Carmen Curved Crisscross Leather Sandal in Surf the Web (192004, $159)
GOING NEUTRAL
WHY WE LOVE IT>> She gives these classic hues a girly punch by working a babydoll cut and A-line flair while incorporating an edgy accessory.
HOW TO ROCK IT>> Work a single statement item into a classic look, whether it be a python clutch or strappy sandal. Take a cue from Krysten’s bold nail polish choices; go for a sultry red or a bewitching black.
OUR PICKS>> Stella Peplum Dress (195967, $119), Kissed Cork Platform Leather Sandal – WEB EXCLUSIVE (190630, $120), Sammy V-Neck Cutout Dress (187103, $109), Audrey Crisscross Sandal in Nude (192072, $149)
IN BLOOM
WHY WE LOVE IT>> She can accessorize a print and balance a monochromatic palette (in our favorite shade no less)!
HOW TO ROCK IT>> When it comes to print, take cues from your dress. Pick accessories that match certain shades in the print. When it comes to going monochromatic, stick to one shade and balance it out with a classic black peep toe pump (a must-have staple in every girl’s closet).
OUR PICKS>> Print: Asymmetric Draped Kimono Dress (176474, $98), Zahara Leather Slingback Platform Sandal in Living Coral (112687, $149). Monochromatic: Colorblock Flutter Sleeve Dress (175957, $139), Zahara Leather Slingback Platform Sandal in Black (112687, $149).
