We die for blogger Liz Cherkasova’s style! Playful and inventive, yet always sophisticated, this girl mixes colors, prints and textures like a pro on her gorgeous Late Afternoon Blog. We’re especially enamored by the way she elevates casual basics like cable-knit sweaters and collared shirts by adding chiffon, metallics and ultra-glam accessories.
(1) ALL THE BRIGHT MOVES: Whether it’s a splash of red or the perfect colorblock pairing, Liz effortlessly pulls off the brightest of hues—fab inspiration with all the eye-grabbing tones this season. Mint and mustard? It totally works! Red with leopard? We’re purring.
(2) LAYER PLAYER: Liz’s layering technique is all about contrasts, like tough leather over delicate sheer or pretty cashmere over a menswear-inspired shirt. Oh, and we’re LOVING how she plays with proportions, working a cropped jacket with an untucked shirttail hem or a slim belt over a chunky sweater and asymmetric skirt.
(3) PRINTS CHARMING: Stripes with polka dots? Absolutely classic. But Liz isn’t afraid of more adventurous print mixes either. Her checked jacket and snake-print pants work perfectly together with their similar scale and neutrals, then—bam!—she makes a sherbet-striped top her bold accent.
