Red Carpet Commentary: Kenna’s 2012 Golden Globe Awards Picks
The stars lit up the Golden Globes red carpet last night with trends I can’t get enough of! The theme of the night seemed to be classic looks updated with new twists and turns, whether it was thigh-high slits, embellishments, or interesting new cuts.
One of my top favorites was definitely Charlize Theron, who looked as if she just stepped out of a fairy tale in her blush-colored chiffon gown with an oversized bow at the waist. She kept the jewels simple and added an amazing crystal head band to complete the look.… talk about knocking it out of the park!!
Along with nude, the color red was a boldly seen last night. Reese Witherspoon looked killer in her fishtail hem gown, and Diana Agron’s gown covered in swan cutouts was something new and exciting to see.
But Angelina stole the show, if you ask me. I mean, she looked MAJOR in that ivory satin gown. The interesting cut of the dress showed off her gorgeous figure and the way she matched her lip color to her clutch… one word, stunning.
The embellished dresses were a fun trend to watch, whether it was sequin, unique embroideries, or beading, it was a great way to turn heads. I thought Jessica Alba looked extremely elegant in this strapless embellished gown. And Lea Michelle?! Can you say high-schooler turned diva? Girl had it going on in a daring sheer, embellished gown.
Sigh, don’t you just love awards season?
