City Seen: Los Angeles’ Clementine Bakery-Café
Any day in a busy workweek you can bet someone from bebe is kicking it in this crowded L.A. neighborhood hot spot during lunchtime. We’ll admit, we’re all health nuts here, but we can’t get enough of their “build your own grilled cheese” option (shh, don’t tell anyone). Tillamook cheddar, gruyere, mozzarella, havarti or feta with extras like sautéed mushrooms or artichoke hearts have us clickety clacking our way to a line that sometimes travels all the way out the door!
One of the other major selling points? Chef and owner Annie Miler uses the freshest seasonal ingredients from local farmers’ markets. Oh, but that’s not all! They have the most amazing baked treats – cookies, brownies, pies, and scones (oh, my!). They also make some ridiculously delicious beverages. Our director of e-commerce marketing is a huge fan of their fresh ginger-limeade, and one of our copywriters swears by the Intelligentsia coffee they serve. But hey, don’t just take our word for it…
