Trend Report: Show-Stopping Fall Evening Looks
It’s mid-week and that can only mean one thing: We’re officially halfway to the weekend! What to wear now that the weather’s cooling down? From sequined cocktail dresses to posh faux furs, take a cue from our our ”Own the Night” lookbook and go glam. But first! We share a few of our favorite looks and how to rock them proper…
(1) FAUX REEL: There is something so Hollywood-glam about faux fur. Whether it’s brightly colored or in an animal print, the key is to offset its plush volume with a high-shine, body-contouring dress and, of course, sky-high platforms!
(2) BLUE STREAK: This jewel tone amazes us. It’s an unexpected departure from the usual emeralds, rubies and onyxes that we’ve become all too familiar with this season, and therefore absolutely guaranteed to generate some serious double takes. The key here is to punch it up with (you got it!) soft-hued faux fur and lace. Think grays and whites.
(3) GLITTERATI: Nothing makes an entrance like a razzle-dazzled cocktail dress! Go for gold-sequined patterns, glimmering bead embellishments and metallic-accented fabrics. The ultimate accessories that pull it together? A sexy, retro-inspired hat, a must-have minaudiere and metal-adorned sandals.
