The sun is starting to come out in LA, and we don’t know about you, but we can’t wait to start wearing color again. From electric brights to every possible shade of the rainbow and then some, it’s time to toss the towel in on the winter blues and go bold, or go home! Turning simple separates into striking statements is as easy as taking a cue from the catwalks and a few of our fave celebs. The good news? We did all the work for you… Read on for 4 fresh new color combos to try this season!
What hot hues will you rock?
(1) ONE-HIT-WONDER>> The red carpet has gotten a taste of the rainbow this season and now it’s your turn. Go head-to-toe, in a near-electric-hued floor length gown, for a look that’s bright on! Take your bold-hued maxi from the beach to dinner downtown with a simple change of shoes and a luxe necklace or earring.

(2) MIX WARM HUES>> From similar pairings like red and pink, to more contrasting statements like light corals against bright fuchsias—warm up your winter wardrobe by pinning red-hot hues of the same family up against each other. Anchor the look with black accents or neutrals, like camel or khaki.

(3) KEEP IT COOL>> Seaside-chic never looked so fresh! Reinvent the way you wear your cool-blue hues and greens by teaming them up together. The subtle variations build added interest, and the complementary-vibe says you know how to make a little color theory work for you. Did we mention this looks flattering on against literally almost all skin tones?

(4) BE A MIX-MASTER>> Whether you’re a wild one, or you’re just looking to shake things up, forget sticking to similar shades and master the art of the mix! Think contrasting colors that pair nicely together. The trick? Be sure they’re similar in saturation, i.e. neons look best together, and the same goes for brights or lighter sun-drenched shades.
